92 Timing belt slipped? 200

Timing belt and tensioner were replaced 4 months ago, car ran fine until this morning. Seems to idle ok but when I put it in gear (AT) it runs rough and knocks when I accelerate. Took it to a mechanic (did not have time to check it myself) – they called and said the distributer rotor position was off and they were going to pull the TB cover to investigate further. I know I had the marks lined up when I put the belt on. I also torqued the crank pulley bolt to torque + the xtra degrees. Any ideas?
Thanks! JP
