Moving to Minnesota in August--how should I winter-proof my 240? 200

I'm off to a new school in Minnesota in August. My car, a 92 240 sedan has always been on the west coast as near as I can tell, as have I. I'm wondering if anyone has any recommendations regarding winterizing the car?

For example, I've heard transmission fluid (it's a manual) needs to be type G or F if it's going to get below 14F.

What else am I missing? I'm sure there are a million things--nothing is too small to mention as this is my first volvo! Thanks for the help!
