Polishing a turd 200

Hey all,

There is a part of me that wants to get rid of my white, 1990, 245. Don't get me wrong, it's a good car. It's reliable, gets reasonable mileage, carries a lot of gear, yadayadayada. But there is another part of me that feels like I'm driving a grandpa car (no offense to the grandpas out there).

So I am thinking out loud here. "Maybe if I spruce it up a bit I will want to keep it around for a while. I mean, the IPD sway bars I installed did wonders for the handling. I have a new clutch. New brakes. New radiator. The seats have been restored. There's really no reason for me to get rid of it other I feel like it's not really sporty enough. And honestly - a lot of that feeling comes from aesthetics."

So the question I have for you folks is, should I get some new wheels and spice things up? Or am I basically just polishing a turd? (I know, I know. That's a really dangerous thing for me to say on a Volvo enthusiast forum - flame on.)

Perhaps some of the matte black Pegasus wheels and some good snow tires would rekindle my love affair? I don't know. Any thoughts?

Kevin
