AMM and preparation for CA smog test - what to check ? 200

I got a note that I need a smog test done on my 86 240GL on test only or "gold shield" station.. That was a surprise since when I bought a car a year ago and did a smog test at the local shop on Shell gas station, it passed from the first time..

Anyway, what is recommended to check before going to the smog test? I plan to do plugging of the vacuum to ignition control unit and I am also replacing AMM, since the car did not start the other day until I unplug the AMM... Any quick tests to check evaporation control unit?


Here is AMM I bought from e-bay.. I am a bit puzzled with it advertised to work on all these models which have different LH versions.. Anyone has experience with using it and in particular tuning it up for smog-test??
