Replacing Wiper Signal/Stock 95 960 900

I plan to replace the wiper switch/stalk in my 95 960. The FAQ seems to have several steps that may only apply to a 940. Here is what i am trying to figure out:

1. Do I have to remove the steering wheel, and if so, where are the screws and what is the tool or driver bit and size I need

2. What is involved with removing and correctly replacing the air bag?

3. Chiltons has a lousy description of this process. If I have to disconnect the negative battery cable to avoid air bag deployment, how can I turn the steering wheel top remove the bolts or what holds it in place? So, if steering wheel needs to be straight to remove steering wheel and wiper switch, how can I also have the steering wheel turned to access the bolts to remove the steering wheel?

Help here is greatly appreciated. We need a better FAQ on this.
