I just picked up a tailgate for my wagon. It's not in mint, but it's still in good shape. I'm planning on eventually sand-blasting it (esp the surface rust areas), and repainting it.

My question is, is there a place on the car that says color code, and is it something you can easily buy yourself?

I might first just primer it and then put on a decent black (spray can) finish, but I don't know when that'll be. Putting the tailgate back together needs to be done first and foremost.
