Sorry for posting such a non-technical topic here but I thought this was the best place for it because I am best known on this forum.
I am based in New Zealand and will be travelling to Washington DC, Boston and Chicago early in August. I spotted that the VCOA national meet is immediately after my business trip and not far from Chicago. The problem is that I won't have a car or any idea where I am going. If anyone has a spare seat in their Volvo and is driving past Chicago on the way to the meet in Kalamazoo, I would love to hear from you. I would of course cover my fair share of expenses.
I have options for my start point - there is a chance I will be in Toronto on the 12th of August. I could also catch a bus to Kalamazoo and team up with someone there.
I am 43 years old, house trained and personable (well as much as a Volvo nutter can be). I work for a research organisation developing applications for superconductivity (trip to DC is to go to the Applied Superconductivity conference). Sounds more high powered than it really is - I am very much a hands on practical type.
These two sites will give you a bit of an idea of where my Volvo interests lie. You can email me directly by clicking my name on the volvoadventures website.
