TLC on my new-to-me 84 244DL - Where is everything?

Hey everyone.

I just bought an 84 244DL with an M46 (has OD).

I've got a short list of obvious problems I want to correct or improve before I drive it 2-300 miles.

I've got new plugs, oil/filter, fuel injector cleaner, and air filter to put in tonight. The car sat for 3-5 months before I bought it, as the PO thought the fuel pump was bad. (got to love those awful ceramic fuses! I've replaced them all already)

Overdrive does NOT work. I do get a click from a relay, and the OD light illuminates. My plan is to check for voltage at the solenoid, then try swapping the fluid. If that doesn't work, I may drive 55 all the way to santa cruz. Whee!

The idle goes from 1500 to 250 and in between when cold. There aren't many vacuum hoses and most of them look fairly new. I will replace them, but not until I check the idle system.

This car has an ECU and an idle control circuit, does it have a TPS as well?
I figure I should clean the throttle body and make sure the IAC motor works.... but how?

So, this is what I need to know:

How do I test the IAC?
Is there a TPS?
Where are all the relays? Is there no relay tray?
Central locking...? I remember this being mentioned in a lot of places, it's screwey.
Dashboard temp gauge does not work.

Thanks
William

PS w00t I get to add a car to my sig!
