A/C WHISTLES after turning engine off! 200 1992

I have a 1992 240. Several years I had the A/C repaired. Ever since, after driving with the A/C on, a VERY audible whistling noise begins after turning the engine off - and it ain't whistlin' Dixie!

What is causing this? If it's a leak, where from?
