Wow - it has been a long time since I posted here. That's because you guys helped me get another 40K out of the Volvo without a hiccup. Just looked at the fuel lines and have a question.....
Two lines come up the firewall on the driver's side, and are held next to each other with a plastic sleeve. One is bigger than the other.
The big one attaches to the fuel rail via a brass fitting, and is an outer sleeve over an inner line. This one looks fine. I assume it is the incoming fuel line.
The smaller of the two connects downline of what I think is the fuel pressure regulator, and appears to return to the tank. It connects with a standard clamp. This one is cracking due to age. Here is/are the question(s):
- Does the smaller line carry fuel?
- Is the small line an outer/inner line configuration like the larger line?
Thanks - it is great to be back!
Dave
(By the way - my eldest daughter drove the 240 until college and has moved on. The youngest gets it in a couple years - till then, it is mine again.)
