Repair shop in Southwest Harbor,Maine 900 1991

On vacation with my son in Southwest Harbor, ME and having an issue starting the 91 940 SE Wagon. Turn the key and nothing. Instrument pnl lights illuminate but no cranking from the starter or noise from the solenoid. I wait a few seconds and try again and she starts right up on the second or third attempt. I'm thinking possible starter problem. No tools but I'll probably pick up some wrenches so I can at least confirm good clean battery connections, though they look clean & tight to the eye.
Do any of you local Maine folks have a shop recommendation in the area of Southwest Harbor. I'm thinking I may need to have the starter replaced. A/C can also use a charge as I've noticed the compressor cycling on and off every few seconds. I know that can't be good for the compressor either.
Thanks in advance for any help-Craig
