Time of death, 439,215 miles 200 1986

With all the deers running about this time of year, it was bound to happen.
Five years ago, I had a deer run into the driver's side front fender and door and just leave a dent as he ran off on his merry way. Two months ago, a good sized one just walked out into my travel lane and never looked up as I drove around him. But yesterday morning was different. This one bolted out in front of me and before I realized he was there, I did what I thought I'd never do, swerve. Before I could recover, there was the butt end of a guard rail and I hit it head on at about 35 mph. There went my prized e-code Ciebe's on both sides, my grille, my hood, my bumper and bumper skin. Once the fire department crew was able to get the end of guard rail that the bumper went underneath, I was able to drive it home. This morning when I was getting ready to back out of the carport and put it into reverse, it wouldn't engage. I put it down into neutral then back into reverse and it engaged with a real noticeable clunk. The adjuster will come out sometime tomorrow hopefully and let me know the $$$ damage. With a $500 deductable and its mileage, I'm just holding my breath. The car is in great mechanical condition with everything replaced over the years along with a new paint job last year and 4 new Michelin's. Any ideas what they'll offer for the car? My insurance policy is for actual cash value less the deductable. OUCH!
