Howdy guys:
A couple of days ago, while driving, I smelled coolant and sure enough, the passenger side of the floor got pretty with neon green fluid.
Thanks to the older postings, I checked out, it was the heater controller at fault.
I had no problem unscrewing the controller out of the firewall, but I cannot pull out the sensor wiring that ran into the ventilation housing. After close examination, it was apparent that it was clamped in between the two screwed-on halves of the housing.
And I cannot unscrew the halves apart because the screws were on the firewall side. My hands aint Tom Thumb-size nor are any of my screwdrivers.
I thought of just unbolting the whole housing from under the hood, but after removing the three nuts, it just won't budge. Am I missing something that I need to do to make the removal possible?
I did think of the option of just prying the halves to loosen the sensor wiring, but ideally, I wouldn't want to damage the housing, even at minimum.
Any expertise or suggestion you have on solving this problem, I welcome with open arms! Thanks!
