after suspension work, some steering wonkiness 700

I replaced ball joints and front CA bushings in my 1991 745. the wagon has only 128k miles on it and is still in relatively good shape. What could be causing some steering vibration that was not quite noticeable prior to the new parts? I did not replace the tie rod ends but those seemed in good state. The shocks were not replaced but certainly could be.
