The previous owner of my 91 240 removed the door trim (or it fell off when he had it) but some glue remains. I'm not going to replace the trim so I want clean door bottoms.

There's a Jun-09 thread here where folks discuss getting the glue off the trim and Art B suggests trying various solvents.

I'm wondering if there's an update on this ie. has anyone found a solvent they like? I don't want to scrape as it's sure to damage the paint.
