I need to replace the sending unit on my 81 262c.FCP has aftermarket and OEM.I remember reading somewhere on the board that one of these had a problem.I have a good main pump and a new pre-pump,hose and sock.What was the problem with the sending units that FCP sells?

ps this is a car I've been working on for over 9 years.Finally got the engine and wireing put back together.Now no start.Fuel guage reads empty but tank is topped off main pump works thinking prepump and sender locked up
