A local 95 945 wagon is for sale.

Owner has had it for 6 or 7 years about 170K on the car. In the past several months it has started this odd behavior and progressively got worse.

While driving the temperature, and fuel gauge will begin to jump from zero to top of scale. The bottom row of dash lights will begin flashing on and off. Sometimes the radio will come on and go off. Then the car will die.

Early on in this odd behavior the car most often started back up and all was fine, but occasionally it would not start at that time only to start right up later on.

As time has passed it is more reluctant to start and has been towed a number of times. They have replaced the battery and the alternator but no change came about from that effort.

I did a search but couldn't find any posts with similiar complaints, but I can remember reading something like this on more than one occasion. Is this something that might involve the many different grounding points on the car?
