¿When SHOULD Electric Fan Turn On - 1993? 200 1993

I have a '93 240 which has the electric cooling fan controlled by a pressure switch in an A/C line. At what point SHOULD this fan come on?

As a check, I've forced it to turn on by shunting the pressure switch so I know that the fan can easily be heard from inside the car. Yet, while driving the car with the A/C on, I've NEVER heard the electric fan turn on.

So, is this fan SUPPOSED to turn on whenever the A/C is on, or just under extreme condition?
