door lock on it's own...? 900

I have a 1994 940-turbo wagon, w/central locking system but when I close the driver's door from the outside and try to open with the handle the car locks auto and can leave me outside lock-out!! what gives? don't have a remote and dose it have a fac-alarm...nothing to show it has. please help! thx.
