No Start- Fuel Pump Relay? 200 1984

Yesterday, when I went to start my '84 245 I was greeted by two cranks and then nothing. I tried to start it a couple more times, but the battery didn't last long so now I get nothing.
The battery is only a couple years old, so I don't think that's the problem. I asked a friend of mine who is somewhat of an expert, and he said it's most likely the fuel pump relay. Does this sound reasonable?
