1993 A/C verses retro 200 1989

I recently came across a 1991 245 with a volvo dealer installed 134a system at a local bone yard. The system looked factory installed, I thought it was until I found a sticker stating it was retro-ed at a dealer. still had freon in it. My question is will this system cool as well as the 1993 factory installed systems?
