A/C not working after heater core replacement 700

WHAT did i miss?? My heater core on my 740 '87 was leaking, so i changed it. After that i had great heat, but my A/C is not working anymore. Kinda counterporductive in summer!!
The clutch of the A/C compressor is working and fuse 9 and 16 are OK - i checked that. There should be also enought pressure in the system. I can't believe it's the relay (since it was working before the heater core change) - but anyway, how do i check it? How can i check the pressure switch?
The distribution box works - the doors can move freely. I don't hear the A/C beeing switched on. How does the controler work - the only cable i see are the one for the fan speed. So i am not sure how the A/C is actually switched on?
Any other ideas?? I am pretty good in mechanical stuff, but electical stuff is a little bit of my weak side.
thanks in advance
