wiring for vacuum pump 700 1987

I am trying to use the pump as a vacuum source for another aplication. The pump runs but does not pull a vacuum. A good pump from a working system acts the same. What wires on the 740 Turbo Volvo vacuum pump are hot and ground/ control?
I have yellow/red(appaeretly power to the pump) and green/ yellow and a orange wire.
