740 Non Turbo Radiator - Easy Question 700 1992

I just bought a replacement radiator for my 1992 740 wagon and noticed one difference between the two. My cracked radiator has a two prong sensor in the side of the radiator. The replacement (which came from a 940) does not. Everything else looks like a direct fit.

What is this sensor?
