Defroster air duct replacement 120-130

I am replacing the air duct on a RHD 123.
I have always had problems with the duct being in contact with the chock cable
resulting in the duct being flattened. Are the controls for the heater demister,
temp control cable and heater control valve cable supposed to be in front of the plastic ducting or tucked in behind it? LHD may not have this problem.
