Lower timing belt cover modification? 200

Hi all,
please help me with my bad memory.

At some point in the last 2 weeks I read a post or website tutorial on timing belt replacement. It mentioned cutting a slight gap in the lower timing belt cover so you could slip it off without removing the crankshaft pulley.

I read that and thought -huh that's interesting- but didn't bookmark it. If I could find the link again I could study the idea further and decide if it is smart, and worth doing.
Has anybody come across the same thing?

Thanks!
Koos
