Rear brake rotor backing plate removal.....How to get at it? 200 1991

The backing plates, front and rears brakes to our newly aquired '91 245 are rusted out and need replacing. I was able to find a set of fronts at the boneyard that came off easily enough, but in looking at the rears, not so easy to get at. My Bentley and Haynes manuals don't give any info on how to tackle this. Any suggestions will be of the utmost help to me.
