'93 244 Front Brakes w/ABS (vibration pulsing) Question 200

Hi guys:

I replaced the pads on the front of this sedan maybe 20K past maybe 3-4 years and noticed that the wear was more aggressive than PBR organic pads but the stoping was improved. Now this weekend I experienced shutter and pulsing on the right front side. I was North of Boston so I took my time and kept my distance to avoid braking as much as I could on my way back.

I took off the front wheels (Hydras with 205/55/16 and expected to find uneven wear of the pads or worn pads but all was fine. Pads were only half used and were even in thickness on both sides of each rotor.

After cleaning up the calipers and rotors of flaking rust (used wire brush and brake cleaner) I loosend up the retaining pins and regreased them with high temp wynthetic grease to prevent possible binding. I did notice that on the right side there seems to be a slight high spot or when 180 out a thin gap between one side of the rotor and pad.

Question: Is this a "warped rotor"? I installed the wheels and took it for a test ride and all seems OK but I am wondering since my test ride only was up to 40MPH will that shtter come back at highway speed?

Could I take that pads out and wire brush them to eliminate possible glassing?

Any suggestions as some of you must have gone through this. Or should I just replace the rotor and put on all new pads and hdw? Seems like overkill as I still have lots of pad left.

Thanks

Al
