Wiper motor gear broken; can it be swapped from a donor motor? 200 1984

If you take the metal cover off of the motor, there are two sets of plastic gears. The smaller one on top of the big one is cracked and causes my wipers to park wherever they want. The motor itself is fine.

I have two dead motors with gears that are in good shape. Can I transplant the gears, and how without breaking anything? I'd hate to dump the entire motor assembly.

Thanks. (Hope it doesn't rain soon.)
