'84 240 DL, intermittent stalling 200 1984

1994 Volvo 240 DL wagon, experiencing intermittent stalling. Car will run great for 15-20 minutes, then stall - dash lights will come on, tach goes to zero. In 3-5 minutes the car will start. Seems like something is overheating.

In the last year, replaced rotor, cap, coil, plug wires, both fuel pump relays. Someone suggested that the distributor pickup coil may be suspect.

Has anyone had this experience? Any ideas?
