I'm trying to track down why my daughter's 88 has no power to the in tank pump. The Bentley's wiring diagram shows #4 fuse (in-tank pump fuse for this year) being powered by voltage from the fuel pump relay. The main pump works fine (both pumps apparently get power from the same relay source) but the #4 fuse has no power source and I can see no dangling wires in the vicinity. If I jumper the one wire that is connected to the #4 fuse, the in tank fuel pump humms merrily. Seems like I might have to tap into the switched power line exiting from the relay to power up the #4 fuse, but since I don't completely understand what is happening, I am reluctant to go this route.
