I apologize if this has been posted before and I'm just not seeing the previous post. I'm really new to this board but really glad I found it.

Alright so my husband and I have a 1985 DL, B230F engine and M46 transmission 4 speed manual w/5th OD button. We started having problems with the OD working intermittently, you'd be driving along and push the button & OD would engage. Then 10 or 15 mins later down the road when you go to engage OD again, it wouldn't engage or you'd have to press the button multiple times. Now it just won't engage at all. The intermittent problem and/or the current problem was not related to whether the car is hot or cold. We checked the wires to the OD button in the shifter and they look intact & they were making good contact with the button. The fuses look good. I have heard it mentioned that a relay could be the problem and that your supposed to hear a click in the glove box when you engage OD??? I've never once heard a click even when OD worked. Any ideas as to what could be plaguing our OD?
