Distributer Connector broken and dangling?? Other issues!! 700

Hello.

Several issues, maybe some one can help. I hav a nice clean 760 wagon that has had a stumbling turbo for some time, (113K) I replaced the AMM, the turbo inlet hose and generally looked for leaks, nothing helped.

I went to a couple of shops who weren't very helpful but noticed a spark wire burned and cracked and pretty bad.

I immediately put on a new set of Bosch 7mm wires, man it ran beautiful, boost was total. however, when putting on the coil wire I broke the distributor connector and it is hangin by 3 little wires. then it started running rough, I found I had one of the wires connected to the distibutor wrong, it was smashed sideways, I pulled it out and straightend it. I took a tar like caulking and held the distributor connector in place though I worry it is frying under there.

The car runs great at normal speeds and on the highway, very smooth, however it has gone back to stumbling on full hard petal boost.

Do you think I need a new distributor or coil, I am almost certain it is an ignition problem, it is if the ignition can't keep up with the required spark load under hard heavy boost and the computer turns things off.

I have monkeyed with the air idle turnscrew quite a bit and can't find the perfect spot. It also likes to stick at 1500 RPM in neutral at a stop light, I can tune it down to about a grand with the air idle but it doesn't run as well. I think I need to clean my throttle body and put on a new gasket, I have a new idle position sensor but I am leary of getting it set right.

Need help in Wichita, Ks.

Thanks,
Bill
