maybe you should skip this one****? 200 1989

Sometimes I seem to rack my brain what could I do next for the ol’ brick? I’ve talked about it many times here--’89 wagon, a/t, etc, which I endeavor to keep in tip top shape like many of us do I imagine. It’s our only car, our family car, raised 2 kids with it for the past 6 years of their life, though they are now grown and out of the home, tho not far. Our brick runs and looks very nice, don’t wish to part with it, but I do feel I look for something that just could use replacing or “doctoring” just for the heck of it, sometimes even when it may not be fully justified. Example-- bottle of “Back to Black”* yeah it makes it look better, but--also, some windshield water additive tho we seldom use it. Stuff like that. It’s as if I strive for yet dread perfection, though that will probably never happen. Gives me something to do I guess, esp now I’m retired, wife works, she will retire in a few years. I’m almost ecstatic when its time to replace the brake pads, get new tires (heaven!), change the oil, wash and clean it out etc. etc. Is this a “syndrome” and does it have a name? Maybe "Volovokeepmebusy-itis"? Sure some items are truly justified, that’s not the issue, moreso I could call it my ”neurotic” need to keep me and the brick going OR maybe this is my passion-yeah that’s a better word for it. Passion! I like it! Well, even liked taking time to write this post out-tho I really will try to keep my posts in the “helpful manner“ as that’s why and what we are really here for--I guess.. Hehe :o). I best end with something helpful--"Keep your brick clean and waxed--it will pay off"!!
