B230F Engine Block Casting Numbers 200 1986

I bought a B230F engine from a person who does not have access to the engine's original body. He bought it from a mechanic (who is no longer living) and told me it came from a 1985 - 1988 240 DL.

Is there a source of engine block casting numbers that would tell me the year of my engine? The number on the drivers side of the block are:
B230F 499859 67055. The timing belt cover also has a decal number 499859.

If there is any other way to determine the engine year, besides the VIN #, please let me know.

My plan is to take my time and rebuild this engine to replace my existing engine in my 1986 wagon.
