Haven't been on in a while, but I thought I'd confer with the experts about the subject of a 1990 240 DL I took a look at for a friend. She would like to get another 240 to replace the one she "lost". It seems to be in pretty good shape overall, but I haven't seen it in the daylight yet. I took it for a spin last night and it has a small hesitation during idle and while driving at slower speeds. It has no tach, so I couldn't see what it idled at, but it seemed about normal to a touch high, with a hickup that would drop the idle down approx 200-300 rpm, then come right back up. Since I haven't been able to sort out my 240 yet, I'm not sure I want to guess what the problem is, or more importantly, what the cost to fix said problem would be. There is no CEL at any point of operation. I would love to hear any possible theories to research before I give any recomendations to her.
