Hi,
My 740 Turbo manual transmission started losing power and missing under load. It seems to idle correctly.
I was driving to work and about 10 minutes in to the journey I start to lose power, it misses fairly badly when I apply power.
Idles fine at about 900RPM. First gear sort of OK but when I get to second gear and try to move to about 35 miles per hour it is missing badly. Like it is only firing on 2 or 3 cylinders.
It does not jerk and pull away, and then miss fire. It just seems to uniformly not be firing well when I apply power.
No smoke or any warning lights. The problem came on and got worse during about 15 minutes of driving.
I checked under the hood all the dictributor cables and fuel injection cables seem conncted.
It could be starving for fuel, but it idles good.
There is no abnormal smoke.
It feels electrical like not getting ignition.
I suppose it is something like distibutor? (I have the Bosch electronics.)
Relay?
Computer?
Fuel injection?
Searching for possible causes?
It has been 30,000 miles since distributor and cables changed.
Thanks,
Dean
