Engine Idle Fluctuation Issue 91 245 200

Hi All,

My 91 245 keeps displaying strange engine idle behavior. In a nutshell, the idle fluctuates between 750 and about 1200 rpm.

This idle problem happens mainly in stop and go traffic. As I slow down the idle starts to go up and down, up and down... It does not seem to matter if the car is warm or cold. And it doesn't always happen. Sometimes the car idles fine. Sometimes it goes through this up and down routine without a break. And sometime it starts with the idle fluctuating and then settles down to the set 750 rpm. ???

FYI: Over the past few years I have changed the following parts; TPS, O2 sensor, AMM, fuel regulator, CPS and plugs. I have cleaned the idle control valve. The fuel injectors were recently cleaned.

So what am I missing? Could it be a vacuum leak somewhere?

More FYI: The brick is a 91 245 5-speed with a LH 3.1 system and about 195k miles.

Thanks for any info.

Bert
