Non-working air conditioner removal 200 1983

I have the entire front end of my wagon off as I replace body parts and bumper following a wreck I was involved in (not my fault). I had to remove 2 A/C couples to get a damaged part off (no pressure and no fluids came out at all), and now I'm thinking about removing the whole A/C system. Aside from the V-belt set-up, are there other issues aside from simply taking off all parts related to the air conditioner?
Thanks,
Jim
