Door panel on 960 driving me crazy 900

I have a drivers side door panel that is really driving me crazy. I have a picture but it is not all that good. What has happened is that the light metal clips that attach the top rear of the panel to the lip of the metal on the door have gone lame on me. I am not one to get hung up on cosmetics but the issue here is that EVERY time I open or close the door I am reminded of this trashiness. Besides this it is a very nice car. Well appointed. The most luxury I have ever had. I have had the panel off before dealing with switch issues so that does not scare me. Does anyone have any suggestions at all? It really is ruining the Volvo luxury driving experience for me right now.
