Just a word of advice - over the past few days, I saw that my voltage gauge was reading low and some requisite squealing from the belts was making itself known. I figured, 'time to replace an accessory bushing or two'. A quick visual and manual check showed the alternator to wiggle a bit and the belts to be out of line. Once I pulled the fan and shroud, I found that the bolt that holds the alternator and threads through the accessory bushing had lost the nut from the backside and and wiggled itself to within about 1" of dropping completely out.
Moral of the story: Use nyloc nuts (or appropriate threadlocker if you are a contortionist) when remounting your alternator, in order to not end up like me.
