My friend and I just installed a replacement 85-87 engine wiring harness after pulling his crumbling one. I'm heading over there now to run some tests as we're experiencing a no-start. We experienced a no-start before the harness exchange as well.
I may have more questions later, but immediately, I'm stumped about one plug that doesn't seem to have a home, not sure if it's a test socket or not. It's a smallish plug with one of those spring loaded wire clips on it and comes out of the harness very near the wires that connect to the starter solenoid. It doesn't have that much extra wire attached to it so it can't travel far. If this isn't too confusing, I hope one of you guys can put my mind at rest about it.
Thanks,
Jim
