I have had a brake issue for the last few months that is beginning to drive me nuts. A few months ago my brakes failed. I diagnosed a master cylinder and replaced it after bench bleeding the new part. I then bled the vehicle. Problem was solved! Harrah! But low and behold a month and a half later no brakes... The pedal would go right to the floor. I realized a front left caliper had self destructed. I replaced the caliper along with new brakes and then bled the system twice around. On first test it seemed great, the pedal was firm and all was good in the world. As soon as the key was turned and the engine fired the pedal is totally spongy. Firm when the car is off and spongy when on. I re-bled the system twice tonight and had the same problem.
I did notice there is an abnormal amount of air coming from the top bleeder nipple on the front right caliper. Is someone out there who can help? Volvo gurus please stand up. Thanks for your open ears.
Sincerely,
Wes
