O2 sensor affected by gas quality? 700

My 87 turbo wagon idle has started dropping out. It used to ( from yesterday since forever) quietly and smoothly hover around 8 or 900rpm in gear. Today I noticed it starting to drop out to 600 or 500 and then return to 900. And upon slow acceleration it would " hiccup". About 4 yrs ago i replaced the O2 sensor for they same symptoms.

Here's the question. Our local gas station started dispensing gas that has " up to 10% ethanol" as the sign says. I have used 2 tanks. Is it possible the O2 sensor has failed due to this " gas-a hol?

Thanks
Brian
