Water pump mini leak 200

I finally tracked down my water pump leak. It was only happening once in a while and I thought the pump was leaking. Turns out the leak is where the pump enters the head and it only leaks for a few minutes until the engine warms up enough to expand the metal and stop it. Is there an o ring or gasket where the pump enters the head? I'm thinking at 50K miles, it's probably a good idea to just replace the pump instead of trying to fix the leak. What's the lifespan of the pump? It's a HEPU pump.
