Strats, runs for 10 sec, then dies , surging idle 900 1991

940SE w/ B230FT engine start without hesitation, idling smootly for 10s.
Then dies. Restarts with no problems 10s and dies...
If reved up to about 2000rpm then it just "almost dies" every 10s, if let down to idle it dies. At normal start one can normally hear a change in noice from engine after about 10s, AC turns on, fannoice changes etc. Seem like this surging in idle appears at this point. Found / repaired a leaking EGR valve vacuum hose with no effect on the problem, No errorcodes except EGR code now cleared, Can EGR valve get stuck if vacuumhose cracked for some time? Any clues?
