Winshield gaskets has shrunk? 200 1980

On the passenger side, top corner were the pillar meets the roof, the gasket appears to have shrunk, I can see into the frame. Can't believe I didn't catch this before I bought it. Glass is in great shape, original, can I order a new gasket and install it? What would have caused it to shrink?
