I need to order a new header pipe for my 1992 740 wagon and I'm still confused as to which fuel system I have and whether or not the car has EGR or not. Apparently knowing this is a prerequisite to getting the right exhaust pipe. Is there an easy, foolproof way to tell see what I need? Can the incorrect pipe still be cobbled to work by a competent exhaust shop? A couple of months ago my exhaust system broke at the flange in front of the cat and the exhaust shop I go to did a masterful job of welding it up, eliminating the flange joint.
