Need help: shiftlock override question 200 1993

240 Wagon, I have installed the shiftlock override plate from IPD a year ago and disconnected the shiftlock wire with no problems. Now there is a problem.

When the car is started, the shiftlock light comes on and the shiftlock override button must be depressed to get it into gear. Everything is good, but each time the car is put into park the light kicks on and the button must be depressed to shift each time.

Any ideas on what is wrong/how to fix? Thanks!
