Mystery Wiring 900 1996

I have a 1996 960 Wagon and recently acquired a 1998 V90. While working underneath the front of the V90 I noticed two round plastic pieces with two wires each that plug into holes in the lower radiator shroud that directs air through the transmission cooler portion of the radiator. There is no sign of these on my 96 though the holes are there for them to plug into on the shroud. Anyone know what these are and what purpose they serve?
